Former Chelsea boss Ranieri booted out by Juventus after failing to peg back Mourinho
Claudio Ranieri could consider a return to England after being sacked by Juventus.
Moggi (former Juventus director)
“Juventus aren't accustomed to sackings in the final few weeks of the season - that's why the news is even more sensational,” Moggi said on R101.
“However, it has become common practice in football. If things don't go well then the Coach pays first then the directors.
“However, I don't think that Ranieri did so badly at Juve and he wasn't the wrong choice as Coach.”
Carlo Mazzone (Veteran Coach Serie A)
“Despite the final stumble I think Ranieri did well. He had to put up with a whole host of injuries and has mixed youngsters with experienced players.
“I would like to see what would happen if you give the same squad to any other highly rated Coach from the start of the season.”
Jean-Claude Blanc (President directur of juve).
“We want to thank Ranieri, but after the recent results and with Fiorentina just a point behind we have opted to put Ferrara in charge,”
“Ciro said that he was available yesterday and this morning we decided to give him the job. We will see what happens after the two remaining games of the season.
“We wanted to shake up the players and now it is up to them to show us a reaction.”
Ciro Ferrara (Coach of Juventus)
“The important thing is to get the players showing pride again - not much needs to be done to turn things around,”
“It only takes a few small things to get into or out of a crisis. I don't think the physical side is the problem.
“I want to be judged on what I do and my own abilities. I am not scared of putting myself out there, but it's clear that I need time to do things on a tactical and technical level.
“As for the national side, rest assured I will be available to Lippi from June 2. For now I am in charge of Juve for 15 days and then we will see.”
