Gaetano D'Agostino be juve player end of this week

Juventus are expected to sign Udinese midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino by the end of this week, according to the Italian Press.

The 26-year-old former Roma youngster has been a revelation this season, scoring 11 Serie A goals in 36 appearances for the Zebrette. Juventus are believed to have offered £15m for D'Agostino, who was called up to the Italy squad in November 2008.

Udinese President Giampaolo Pozzo confirmed Juventus' interest in the player during an interview yesterday evening. “I hope that someone doesn't come and unsettle him, but Juventus are interested,” Pozzo revealed.

Juventus have already been active in the transfer market, signing Fabio Cannavaro from Real Madrid and Diego from Werder Bremen. The Bianconeri finished second in Serie A this year and are looking to close the gap between themselves and Italian champions Inter.
